INERTIA STUDY 2004 Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, Baltimore, MD 10' x 6' x 10' each (x5) stainless steel
Designed, fabricated, and installed this five-part sculpture which highlights the entrance to this High School in East Baltimore. The scale of the stainless steel elements seems larger than life, something that should be small but is enlarged and allowing the sculpture to be interactive. In working with the building engineer, the pieces are able to hover over the entrance so students, faculty, and visitors can pass under them every day upon entry.
